FIRO-B

The Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation Behavior (FIRO-B) instrument was developed by the psychologist William Schutz. The instrument was originally developed for the US Navy to better understand appropriate crew selection for submarines.

The instrument measures interpersonal relationship needs. It has been used extensively as an instrument to aide leaders and teams to better understand team dynamics as well as their own needs within a team.

Entheos Group uses FIRO-B as an additional feedback resource to assess team dynamics.
